Lazy August

So many red flowers in the garden this month. They seem to be reflecting my mood, lazy and languid. Only the bee in the bottom photo is doing any work:

Hope you're having a great August holiday time. September will be the start of a fresh academic year and a new adventure for me, but I'll talk more about that next month...

  1. Oh Ros, for some reason I cannot see your lovely photos (I'm sure they are lovely!). I'll try again tomorrow, but for now, I shall look forward to seeing them and hearing your exciting news!

    1. Thank you so much for the info. I'd tried to upload them in a short-cut way (part of being lazy this month I'm afraid) but it obviously hadn't worked. Should be fine now.

    2. Ah I see them now! They really are gorgeous! Beautiful vivid reds, and lovely to see the bee! I too am feeling a bit lazy. Not handy as I'm supposed to be getting back to work!

  2. lovely photos and yes I can see them. August should be languid and lazy. And I bet your "lazy" is still rather industrious. Nonetheless I hope you've enjoyed your time. I look forward to hearing your September adventures - stuff does kick into gear then. Take care

  3. Lovely pics, and you seem to have missed the rain we've had most of the day. Funny how gardens seem to go through phases of colour - mine's orange at the moment; montbretia, day lilies and nasturtiums :)

    1. The rain has arrived here now. By next month there will be nothing but the colour of golden rod in the garden.
