She manages it delicately with this double begonia:
She adds a sprinkling of orange discreetly to this pink echinacea:
And she's bold and 'in yer face' with this dahlia:
The only way that I can be sure of wearing matching items is to have them all the same colour but again Mother Nature has out-styled me. How about this for a perfect blend of a single colour?
What colour schemes are hanging up in your wardrobe?
All the above photographs were taken this afternoon in our garden and yes it's still looking amazing thanks to Mr A's hard work!
That is amazing, the colours so beautifully blended, such a lovely garden.
ReplyDeleteWhat lovely photos, Ros - your garden must be lovely.
ReplyDeleteAs for my wardrobe - I'm not sure it warrants the words 'colour scheme'. Jeans, t-shirts, fleeces, a few shirts (but nothing that needs an iron!)
I love the colors in that double begonia. I want a plant that produces such a wonderful color. I must admit, I'm always very careful to match and co-ordinate everything I wear, even to the tie in my hair. I love color.
ReplyDeleteabsolutely delightful. Nature wins - sometimes you just think the colors can't possibly be so brilliant or match so perfectly. As for me and my closet - black, blue. I avoid reds and oranges, otherwise my face looks like a tomato. What the heck - I'm fairly color coordinated and it's all clean. Anything else - I'm an eccentric writer........that goes far. Have a great weekend
ReplyDeleteMother nature astounds me!
ReplyDeleteGorgeous flowers from your garden.
Thanks for sharing them :)
Black, red and shades of blue. I'm a bit conservative (small c) that way. Gorgeous photos of the flowers.
ReplyDeleteLovely, lovely photos. All that's hanging in my closet are blue jeans. Well, most of it by now. The rest I need to go through and purge since blue jeans seems to be all I wear these days.
ReplyDeleteMr A is does miracles with flowers, Ros and yes, I agree, Mother Nature gets it right every time! I am much like Jo in that my cupboards contain mostly jeans and tee-shirts, but I do have to dress smartly for work. I have my own 'uniform' though. Black trousers, and a variety of different coloured tops and scarves. No coordination needed and no ironing either!
ReplyDeleteLovely colours here, Rosalind. Thanks for sharing.
ReplyDeleteYvonne.
They are beautiful Rosalind!
ReplyDeleteThat begonia is especially beautiful. Its colors are so subtle and delicate looking. Reminds me of the colors in a peace rose.
ReplyDeleteMy wardrobe? Mostly, it's comprised of whatever's on sale, but more purples, lilacs, and greens have been showing up the past couple years. Old lady colors, right? I guess they knew they belonged with me...
Gorgeous flowers, lovely to have someone good at gardening in the family. I'm like you I have no idea what colours match maybe we should study flowers before going shopping. Black trousers and different tops, that's me.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful pictures, Rosalind!
ReplyDeleteI'm terrible with putting colors together. That's probably why I usually resort to black or grey clothing.
Hi Ros .. I really should wear pinks, reds and blues - the brighter colours suit me .. I got taken off course by a good friend of my parents who visited me in South Africa and she offered to buy me some clothes ... we ended up with her colours ... orange, greens and browns ... and I have to get back to my shades - yellows too ...
ReplyDeleteMother nature is amazing though ... and now we'll have those gorgeous Autumnal colours ... love your photos .. cheers Hilary
Lovely pictures! I try wear a lot of black, so everything goes with everything.
