A to Z of Leicester: N is for...

New Walk

This traffic-free lane leads right into the centre of the city. It was created in 1785 and became a desirable place to both live and walk. Halfway down is New Walk museum featuring my childhood favourites: dinosaurs and Egyptian mummies.

A quadragintal is a blog of exactly 40 words.

  1. I've walked the New Walk on numerous occasions. Love the dinosaurs too! We went to the New Walk museum on a school trip when I was at primary school :)

  7. I'm fascinated by things Egyptian. Never seen a mummy though, except on television.
