A to Z of Leicester: E is for...

Everards beer

William Everard first brewed beer in 1849 in Leicester. Beer is not my drink but Everards must be good because Beacon Bitter just received an award at the Leicester Beer Festival and Tiger is on sale all round the world.

A quadragintal is a blog of exactly 40 words.

  1. I love this! Doing all the alphabet in your area is very interesting. Of course I would love to come to Leicester and drink some tiger!

  3. Clever of you to set parameters for this challenge. And you'll end up with enough research material for another book!

  7. Never heard of it before. I'm more a blue Moon drinker. (When I drink beer) :-)

  8. Never had that beer before (I don't believe), but that image complete with your history lesson makes me want it to order it next time at the bar. That is, if they serve it over in my neck of the woods.

  9. You've made me so homesick. I love beer - especially Adnams.

  10. Thank you for following and commenting on my blog. Beer is my favorite drink and the only one I can drink at my age. Love it and it was fun to see it mentioned in the A to Z Challenge.--Inger

  12. I haven't heard of this brand. Not a huge beer gourmet, but I enjoy a brew now and then. Love to go to a nice pub and sip on one or two of these.

Contrary to my usual practice of subscribing to comments, to save time during this early part of the challenge I will not be doing so at this time. If you want to respond to my comment, please email me directly from your email notification for the comment.
Thanks. And I truly appreciate your efforts.

  15. Thanks all, sorry I'm not making the usual individual responses. This is not only an A to Z, it's almost a 24/7.

Sorry to those US bloggers who can't get Tiger. Come and visit us here and, yes Manzanita, I may even have a pint with you all!
