What a busy, busy week! We’ve been to Wales and now we’re back!
We’ve been visiting my sister-in-law in her amazing cottage in the side of a
mountain with its steep drive and terraced lawns, damp with dew and steep
enough to whisk your feet from beneath you. I’m a city girl at heart.
Now it’s time for apple and honey and
Happy New Year messages to everyone.
Let’s hope it’s a sweet and healthy one.
And soon it’ll be time for our virtual Macmillan's World's Biggest Coffee Morning. I hope you’re getting your Coffee Morning Fancy Dress Outfits
ready. I’ve got mine all sorted and hanging in my virtual wardrobe. There’ll be
awards for the most original outfits. You can describe them to me when you
arrive any time between Friday 30th September and Sunday 2nd October... and don’t forget to bring your Coffee Morning Jokes with you.

...now to unpack the suitcases. What a busy, busy week!
Oh joy I can go to a virtual coffee morning, in spangly tights, and then a real one!
ReplyDeleteWe've got to bring jokes?! Seriously though, sounds like a wonderful idea - the MacMillan nurses do a fantastic job.
ReplyDeleteThe cottage sounds great. I'm a city girl too, but countryside is good, sometimes - yes?
I can't wait for the virtual coffee and all the outfits. Gorgeous picture from Wales!
ReplyDeleteHappy New Year to you and your family, enjoy the holiday. And the apple and honey! :)
Glad you enjoyed your trip to Wales! What a beautiful photo! Wishing you and your family a very Happy and Healthy New Year! Julie
ReplyDeleteWales is beautiful. We're hopefully moving there in a couple of years (although probably not to a mountain), and I can't wait!
ReplyDeleteLooking forward to the party - hoping you raise lots of money!
ReplyDeleteWhat a gorgeous pic! And a virtual Coffee Morning is a brilliant idea. My Mum had great Macmillan support at the end too (she had a Macmillan doctor as well as nurses - I hadn't heard of that before).
ReplyDeleteMy mum and dad almost moved to Wales when I was a young chap. You must have had a lovely time

Welcome back! Is that an actual photo of where you visited? Holy cow, that's beautiful!
ReplyDeleteGorgeous photo of the view from your sister's house. I am a country girl, always have been. I will pop back over the weekend to join in on the coffee morning.
