Inspiring but...

...where are these spires?

So many times we walk along the street without once looking up. Anyone who loves architecture would love this view that I caught on my phone yesterday but do you recognise it?

Where was I yesterday?

  3. Hi Ros .. my guess is the St Pancras Station or the hotel just there .. ie London! But that's more sleuthing and sheer guess work .. I hope all is well ...

It does look like Moscow doesn't it ... lovely snapped photo - cheers Hilary

  4. They for sure were not shy about spires. I wouldn't think the British would go that wild with spires. Are you abroad?

  5. Is it the Grand Hotel in Leicester? (though those windows look religious?)

  7. I've always loved buildings with tall spires and delicate things on top.

    1. On the contrary, Jane, I was neither in Leicester nor was I in Moscow!

  10. In the village where my kids live they had a competition one year. Someone had taken "up" photos and printed them, and people could be seen walking round the High Street for days gazing up at the buildings identifying chimneys and cornices and bricked-up windows.
