1. Life is not about finding yourself. It's about creating yourself.
2. Happiness can be found even in the darkest of times, as long as you remember to turn on the light.
3. Negative thoughts will drain your energy, weigh you down, hold you back.
Positive thoughts will give you energy, lift you up, set you free.
4. Don't worry about those who talk behind your back. They're behind you for a reason.
5. When one door closes another door opens, so don't stare at that closed door or you'll not see the one that's opened up for you.
Have you got a favourite positive thought that gets you through your tough times?
Sending you good thoughts for peace of mind and strength to get you through the hectic days.
ReplyDeleteLife has been a bit hectic for me as well as of late.
I too find comfort in positive thoughts , all of the ones you shared here are very good.
I like this one...
"What you don't see with your eyes, don't invent with your mouth."
Yes,that's another good one. Thanks for sharing :-)
DeleteDo hope life picks up for you soon.
ReplyDeleteI try to remember that seeing life as a 'glass half full' person or 'glass half empty' is often a choice. There are dark days, of course, but the world will carry on turning whatever worries we have. So the sun will rise - one day soon!
That's very true, Jo.
DeleteMe too ...... I take comfort from the thought: what's meant for you will not go by you. xxx
ReplyDeleteI've not heard that one before, Carol.
DeleteI like nuber four Ros. I also used to get mad at my mum for always saying the one that Carol has just said but I find myself saying that to my children all the time. I have a bookmark and love the saying on it.
ReplyDeleteWorrying does not empty tomorrow of it's troubles, it empties today of it's strengths.
I've looked at that bookmark a lot lately.
That worry one is a good one but so hard to out into practise, Anne.
DeleteDespite hectic life, I hope you and Mr.A are well. I am concerned from across the pond if we don't see some Rosalind wit and wisdom and humor. Now - bam, here it is. Those are all good nuggets. I'm going to go with "jump at the chance." I tend to overthink on choices, etc. and I think that one is a positive - just go for it. (I sound like a Nike commercial). Cheers to you and deep breaths. Take care
ReplyDeleteWe're fine thanks, Joanne. That's very kind of you but I'm not so sure about the wisdom!
DeleteI'm saving: "Don't worry about those who talk behind your back. They're behind you for a reason." That's the one I really need. Thank you.
ReplyDeleteThat sound ominous, Anne. Hope it helps. I must admit it's my favourite too.
DeleteI love #1. That's so how I feel! I hope everything gets easier for you soon :-)
ReplyDeleteThese are great maxims, Ros. I'm so sorry you are feeling in need of these booster, though. My favourite - and I say it often - is simply 'tomorrow's another day". I often need it these days as I rarely finish what I intend to do every day. I also try and follow the 'do as you would be done by' saying that I was brought up on. It's sometimes harder than it sounds though. Keep smiling, Ros and have a lovely weekend xx PS, loving 'Voices'!
ReplyDeleteHi Ros .. life can be such a pain at times .. so I need to do something else, changing my thought patterns ... I used to 'mentally turn on my heels' when my mother and uncle were alive - as life was too much at times - but I had to keep going and keep the smile up front ... made it, just.
ReplyDeleteGreat weekend ahead for you I hope .. and you've got so much on your plate -I expect there will be some carping .. a right pain ... thinking of you ... shoppings done I see! Cheers Hilary
